Squire or jester

Title says it all. Are there any main differences between the 2. Which one do you guys think is the best. Will be mounting on line blends and used for pow and big mountain

squire-for smaller riders, low din, light materials, not that durable

jester-for larger, more experienced riders, high din, stronger, more durable

You should not be looking at these 2 bindings and trying to decided. The Squire is more of a junior to lightweight adult binding and the Jester is a step down from a Pro binding. Materials and designs of the 2 are totally different. If you are looking for a lightweight freeride/freestyle binding you should be looking between the Griffon and the Jester. New Griffon has a DIN of 13 and the Jester is heavier with a DIN of 16. Jester has a slightly heavier spring but also has other components on it that are more durable than the Griffon in high impact situations. That being said unless you are truly going big the Jester is over kill for what you are looking for and it sounds like the Griffon is more up your alley as a versatile binding. Unless you are setting your DIN at 10 then stay away from the Jester.

thanks on my pivots i and rossi axials i have my dins at 8 usually. i heard the squires break alot. Is the same problem of breaking true with the griffons

Griffon is a much more durable binding than that of the Squire which honestly should be advertised as more of a higher end junior level binding rather than a freestyle binding. It is too light and flimsy, the Griffon is much more reliable of a binding.

I just bought some squires to throw on my Lib Tech Freeride NAS, anyone really know what would be the maximum weight on the squires ?  When I bought them it said they were good for riders up to 200lbs, I'm about 180 and 5'9" so I figured they would be fine, any input would be great thanks.

only use the squire if your really light. the griffon is a much more reliable and sturdy binding.
