Summer Edit in Hong Kong - Critique please?

Hey guys, ive made a new summer edit and was hoping to get some feedback on it. Its my 2nd major (ish) edit so im sure ive got a lot to work on still. I know some shots are a little out of focus and some where the subject is not always in the frame, these were when a friend was filming for me or was so sunny I could barely make out the LCD screen in time adjust the focus to get the shot.

If you guys could give some feedback on the editing (colours, flow, vibe, etc), or anything really that would be great. I was going for a fun summer vibe in this edit so hope that shows thorough. Had lots of fun shooting this so I hope you enjoy it.

I like the editing, intros good, the only thing is the edit has no direction really, I mean its kind of all over the place and the cliff jumping is not too impressive. I mean personally I cant do a backflip off a cliff, but a lot of ppl can, so it doesnt make it to unique. But the editing is on point. Personal thought tho, dont mix gopro and dslr or any other type camera footage. I dont like that transition. Keep it up tho, filming is so much fun

Thanks man. Yea i agree with you on most those points. For a lot of the people in the edit, they cant do much more than a backflip and a lot of people it was there first times so cant really change that. I agree, different stuff would be much more interesting to watch and unique.

I guess with the direction of the edit, it was in the order of what we did so for us it probably makes sense but for other not so.. was that the case or something else?

And yes, the transition between DSLR's and GoPros is a but weird and dont match, but GoPro create such different shots for these types of stuff its hard not to put them in. Small sacrifices i guess..

Now that I look at it that way the direction does not look as confusing, cant wait to see what u do with ur camera on the snow, good stuff

i personally feel like if done right, you can shoot on dslr and gopro. this is a great example...you can tell that post production was probably a pain in the ass but you still get very unique shots of the gopro with very subtle changes between cameras.

this is true, you cant tell the difference due to the color correction and you can tell a lot of effort went into the post production like you said, ive been proven wrong

Yea that vid works really well. Something to think about when I next put them both together.

Any other critiques on my edit though? Really would like some more feedback so I can improve.
