Trigger Mitts

So I have really bad circulation in my hands and have always used gloves but they just don't cut it anymore. I've been looking at some mitts that have the trigger finger and just want some feedback/suggestions from people that have used them. I want something that is warm, and durable so it doesn't fall apart from grabbing, falling etc.. , and also want them to be able to fit under the cuff of my jacket. Any suggestions welcome.

I was rocking some Celtek Trigger mitts before, they were warm and had a low profile cuff. only problem was the rope tow took off material errtime, but it still stayed warm

Why not just get normal mitts? They are way warm and look sick imo. Tons of companies make mitts. Armada, joystick and dakine to name a few.

Only reason iwas thinking trigger mitts was easier to do grabs and don't have to take them off to do everything

When i ski park i rarely use gloves but for the pow days i finally picked up some joystick mittens because my hands would always freeze in gloves no matter what.

my hands always get too hot. I wear no gloves on pow days sometimes, it's kind of annoying how hot they get, lol

Would rather have that than have to take a break every hour on 25 degree days because my fingers get so cold haha.

I had the Hestra Seth morrison 3 finger pro and it was a trigger mitt, but they were too hot. I had a pair of Celtek Trigger mits, they sucked and my hands got wet/ they tore up.

POW Stealth mitten.

look at candygrind gloves or the joystick mitt too!

I wear the Dakine Legacy mitt all the time. Super warm, your hands stay dry, and a leather palm is key.

That's not a bad problem to have.

I just wear my Dakine mitts for whatever... but I don't have to worry about a rope tow either. :shrug:

if you really dont want mittens get a pair of liners, and some nice gloves

I have some pow mitt, i think its the royal. I really like them, they come whit a liner, the liner is great ( very grippy) and you have two leach that you put so you can take your Mitt of and you dont have to put them in the snow.

your hands are still cold under those? I was thinking of getting some. but am also probably going to go mittens or the 3 finger ones. I'd recommend something waterproof with goretex or a similar fabric. I'm not sure where you ski, but NJ/PA snow is wet. Plus it's freezing at night.

Well they are the warmest gloves i have ever had. It is just that I have very bad circulation, my toes get cold in 25 degree weather haha. I'm in MN so it can get quite chilly, but the snow is not really wet. I do take 2 trips out west each year though and thats where I will probably need them most. Do you recommend any mittens?

I've been looking around and I saw a couple ones that looked interesting. My first idea was to go to the goretex site and get an idea of who's making gloves with their material. one thing i found was these http://marmot.com/products/lobster_mitt?p=216,204 and i've seen them cheaper on other sites. also the guy gave them 3 stars cause the liner isn't removable which isn't a big deal to me, i'll just take my gloves off for a bit if it's hot. but there were a bunch of other good looking ones too on the goretex site.

No doubt^ I really need to find a pair of hestras. I tried on the vertical cut freeride's and they fit amazingly and basically restrict no movement. It's just those seem less waterprof then the heli mits or something. I'm probably going to buy a pair of those come christmas, since thats when I'll be able to ski again.

the deer skin mitts from cabelas are abosutley amazing and theyre like 20 buck, they are so warm and soft and never get wet

I've only used mittens ever--never really liked gloves.....I've also never really splurged on a pair, but the best mittens I've ever had were like $15 at Murdochs. They're just cowhide leather with primaloft insulation inside--so warm and comfy. They aren't really designed for skiing so they aren't the greatest with poles, but they aren't that big of a difference. The only time I haven't been happy with them was when it was raining and they got pretty wet--my hands were still warm, but pretty wet. They definitely stayed warm when it was snowing and stuff though.

Hestra definitely has the sickest mittens ever though; just can't warrant paying so much for them cause I'd be too worried I'd lose them, which is why I stick to the $15 ones!
