AP Calculus help +k

If someone can help me with these, or at least one, i will grant you karma splendor and love you forever.

dont know how to superscript so the carrot is "squared"

the limit of (x+2)^2 -- 9x
                          x              as x approaches 4

the limit of (x^2 -- 1/x) as x approaches 0 FROM THE LEFT

Find the value of c such that the limit exists. x is is approaching 1.  x^2+3x+c
                                                                                                              x-1

First one just simplify as much as possible the plug in the 4. The second graph it and youl see the asymptote and idk the last one those suck dicks

HEY! This is exactly what we're doing in my AP Calc CLass,

but anyways the first one is indeed 0, which can be found pretty easily by graphing.

Both the second and third ones have holes in the graphs, so you gotta solve 'em algebraically,

And I kinda forgot how to do it.... for realz just ask your teacher,

Oh and the second is definitely not infinity don't listen to that b.s. xD

1. Plug it in. It is literally that simple.
2. Graph it and look at the graph's behavior as it approaches zero from the left side. Those who said infinity were correct.
3. You have to find a value for c that allows you to factor out x-1. You have to make it into a removable discontinuity.

Protip: graph everything.

You have to find a value for c that allows you to make the top equal 0 because the bottom equals 0.  If the top were to be anything other than zero, the limit would not exist.
