ok i dont know if anyone understands this, but the whole aspect of being a team is the most important part of international basketball, because you need to pass so well, and not have just one or two people do all of the scoring, team usa has been a team for about a month or so, meaning the players on the team are not used to playing with each other, skill wise our team completely dominates all of the other teams, so one more superstar really wouldnt help the team that much, what would help the team is more time playing international basketball against good international teams, but we obviously didnt have time to do that so we really arent doing too well, and to explain to the guy who said that international rules dont effect the game, let me explain this, because of no illegal defenses teams can just pack their zone in so tight that its almost impossible to get inside, so the typical types of NBA pick and rolls and cuts wont really do anything, becasue there will always be another person to cover the 20 feet around the hoop because the zone is too tight, basically that means the US has to start hitting outside shots to force the other team to expand the zone and create holes for our players to drive into and cut into, and when we arent making jumpshots the other team will not extend the zone to cover the jumpshots, which leaves us with no place to go inside and bad shooting on the outside, which basically means that were fucked, and in the NBA only one man of the opposing team can be inside the paint at one time, which means that if an NBA team plays zone defense it has to be fairly spread out, which creates room for people to cut into the zone, but in international rules as many defensive people can be in the paint as possible so they can play as tight as they want, and because it takes a team that knows how each other plays and practices breaking tight zones like that often to get inside of a tight zone, the USA does poorly, and in the NBA noone plays a tight zone so noone in the NBA knows how to break one, this is our main problem, and the difference between NBA basketball and international basketball, if we played NBA rules we would rape every other team thouroughly, because you can depend on only a few great players to win a game, but sadly we are playing international basketball and were depending on a team that hasnt learned to play well together, so we suck
