Johnson& Wells University?

Anyone go here/been here. How is the university experiance? I'd be going as business as my major. How close is it to the ski hills?

if you are going to be in the hospitality/tourism field it is probably the best in the country. ive worked with many people who have gone there.

I've heard only good things about it, i'm a state officer for Skills USA and i would get $10,000 a year to go their.

It's actually not a bad school. I'm not sure how strong their business school is. I know they have a decent reputation in HRTM...and I think cooking? J & W has like 4 campuses around the country, the first one and more highly regarded one is in Providence, RI. If you want to study business, I would suggest DU or CU. If you are just looking for an education then J & W isn't a bad option (especially if they are hooking it up for free/cheap).

I work with a couple people that went there and they said it's pretty awesome.  They don't load you up with a bunch of classes you don't need  it's all what you're gonna be doing, and depending on the hill probably about an hour fifteen minute drive.  Unless you go echo then like 30 ish?

I kno about the 4 campusses I was looking at the boulder one because it's close to skiing. They have a great cooking school, Hospitality School and Business school. I would be paying about $15,000 a year out of my pocket, But if i got to Nationals for FBLA this year that will be reduced to about $10,000.


I"ve visted the Rhode Island Campus and its truely amazing. But, i'm not a fan of the east coast.

The campus is right in Denver (not Boulder) and it will take you about 45 mins to get to Echo. Everyone thinks it is closer, but it takes a while to get up the little road. Loveland is about an hour away, A-Basin is about 1:15, Keystone is about 1:25, Breck is about 1:30, Winter Park is around 1:20, Copper is about 1:20, Vail is more like 1:45 and Beaver Creek is closer to 2 hrs. These are factual times from the Denver area. The kids who post on here saying Echo is 30 mins away and that Vail is 1:15 must be taking helicopters or something. Boulder honestly takes a little longer to get to the mtns from, but not much.

It sounds like your 33.333% tuition break may be a good idea, but I would apply to DU and CU too.

I will be applying to those schools aswell, as well as UNR.


I'm going to take a tour of the boulder school in about 4 months.

I live like 10 minutes away from Johnson and Wales, and I hadn't heard of it until this thread.  That should say something of the reputation of this school.

Main location isn't in Denver ^^. If I was to attend I think it would be best to go to their main campus

They are pretty highly regarded for their cooking school not sure about business. As for all those times those are without traffic which can get really shitty.
