Mounting question

My question is : If my Line Anthem (symmetrical skis) were mounted with marker griffon and now, I want to mount some Salomon STH 14's bindings.. does the holes are gonna be too close to each other or I'm gonna be alright ??

(hole diameter) distance between old and new holes is about the required spacing. 1cm back or forth is definately safe. so as long as they are mounted that far away you will be fine and its not really going to make a noticable difference

Don't remount, just keep the griffons for now, the holes wont be far enough away from each other, so the only way to make it work would be to mount them with 1cm back or forward...which is dumb on a symmetrical ski.

I don't have the griffons anymore.. but what I wanna know is that if anyone here was in the same situation as me, did that and everything worked find ?

I know the best option would be to buy griffon and mount them on the anthem but I wanna know if the STH 14 could work fine

The easiest way for me to explain this is to show you:

The existing holes from the Griffons (blue) will be in the way for most of the hole for the STH 14s (red). You need about a centimeter of space between the old holes and the new holes, which you can't get unless you mount in a different location...i.e. 1cm back from center or 1cm forward of center...which normally isn't TOO big a deal, except Anthems are symmetrical, so they will ski extremely awkward if they're not center mounted. So you options are, new griffons, or mounting 1cm back or forward from center, there really isn't a way to change from griffons to sth14s and keep the center mount.

I think I could get a helicoil in there, but hard to tell.

 Could you blow that front toe section up so I can get the calipers out to better decide

If it was me I would because my last pair it was the 4th mount on the one ski so i just through a bunch of steel wool and epoxy in the holes and the bottom of the binding. (My holes wernt quite that close a few were really close to touching) And it was only one ski.
Sooooo dont unless you can heli coil or somthing
