It was January when it hit. We had barely made it over Teton Pass because of the snow. Forecasters were calling for 18-24 inches by midnight that night, and another 6-12 the next morning. It had already snowed over 2 feet by the time we had arrived.
We wake up the next morning with high hopes of an epic day that had come. After getting to the mountain we had made it in line for what we thought was going to be 10th tram. Surprisingly, we had made it up to 3rd bunch up.
The vibe was electric. Stepping in felt like all of the shots that I had seen in all of our favorite shred flicks. Everyone was set on one thing. Getting back to the secret spots and hot lapping pow lines.
Dropping in, I knew first turn this was the deepest day of my life. It was a sensation that I will never ben able to explain in words. Some spots were almost overhead. Wind lips were formed perfectly like sculptures among giant rock statues. It was a day that I will never ever forget..
A tribute to the best resort in the United States...
