if you're into music some great documentaries are "the white stripes under the northern lights", "anvil, the story of anvil", or "dig". you dont have to like the music to really appreciate the film.

or if you want to support my friends mom who's husband died in 9-11 and she made a movie about it, i was very impressed by it. it's called "from the ground up", however, i dont know where you would get a hold of that

Watch Armadillo, it's about a group of Danish soldiers fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. It won a prize at the Cannes film festival. It's like Restrepo but better in my opinion...

one of the best documentaries I have ever seen, both cinematography wise and story wise. truly unbelievable. was one of my favorite films at Telluride Mountain Film Festival this past summer...
