I was 7 when it happened. I don't remember much of the day at school, but I know they said something. I just remember going in the front door and the tv was on with footage of the towers still smoking. It was a loop. My mom was crying, and it was just devastating, even though I didn't know what was going on really.
I want to also note right now that my design teacher's best friend was in one of the towers. He had to choose to burn or jump, and jumped. My design teacher moved to Idaho because of that. I hope he's doing well today.
My thoughts go out to the family of those who died today, the soldiers who died in the subsequent wars, and our soldiers currently serving. God bless.
