Replying to Where were you 10 years ago?

I was in 3rd grade in my class and I can't remember how my teacher got the news but she locked our door and we all had to sit in a circle being really quiet till our parents picked us up, We were all scared because we didn't know what was going on and our teacher wasn't allowed to tell us anything. When my mom told me I didn't really understand the graveness of the situation until I saw the footage of the plane crashing into the second tower. After that I got really quiet and went up to my room and thought about what would happen if it were us because we flew into JFK on the 10th from florida and I remember my dad pointing out the towers to me.
