Already applied and was accepted to the U. I'm hoping to get a good scholarship there and I feel like I've got a great chance of getting one. Other than that I'm really not sure where I want to apply.

a 1930 is good, but i bet you could break 2k if you wanted.  don't get stressed out over that score, its pretty good for most all schools.  i'm looking at some very selective schools, that pretty much rely on these grades to weed out applicants, which fucking sucks.  a 1930 is pretty near to above average for everything except the most selective UC's, the Ivies, etc.  I'm only retaking these tests because I think i can do better.  The ACT is a lot more math/science centric, tests pretty much all primary areas.  Take the writing option, its just a page or two essay more.  Make sure you can read graphs for the science section as well, that screwed me up pretty bad.  prep for it, buy a book, that helped my friend go from a 28 to a 35.

What's the average for the SAT, I want to go UW, but I got a 1430 and a 3.1 GPA. I'm fillipino and have a ton of volunteer hours and letters of recommendations. I also come from more of a "urban" neighborhood, meaning there were kids in my skool that got 2.8 and got in because they have to accept so many students from certain areas. Sparknotes= what's the average SAT score and do you think I can get into UW. +k for answering

I don't know what you mean by UW.  But, I'll tell you what the average GPA of admitted students from my school was.

Wisconsin: 4.04 GPA, 1880 SAT

Washington: 4.05 GPA 1940 SAT

Wyoming: 3.15 GPA 1638 SAT

For Washington, the average GPA of admitted students is 3.69, so it could be a stretch for somebody with a 3.1 GPA.

And people from washigton have no chance of going to UW too. I go to a prep school in Seattle and I would need a 3.8 and amazing test scores to get in. Such bullshit. They are killing themselves in the long run by not admitting local students

Only one more year right? That's such a crazy thought, to know that we're going to be out of the house in one year. Have to be appreciative for everything we have because things are about to get a whole lot different than before. We're going to have to pay for things that we've never even considered before, but the freedom is going to be amazing. The steps we're taking right now are in preparation for the rest of our lives, whether that be going to college or straight up getting a job. It's up to us to get the scores, write the college essays and applications, and figure out what we're going to do with ourselves. It's intimidating, but everyone before and after us has had to do it. Good luck you guys.

I got an ACT score of 29, gpa is around 3.4. I plan on going to NMU (where the n stands for knowledge) which is conviniently located in my city. So yeah plan is go there for two years, live at home, save up money, transfer out west somewhere for the last two. Quick SAT question, is it essential to get into colleges out west? Because around here no one really takes it.

If your a transfer student ( from one college to another out west) I hear they don't look at your scores. Just at how well you did in your college classes.

3.7 unweighted GPA. taken 15 honors or AP classes throughout high school though
1930 sat, but i'm taking it saturday and want to break 2000. fucking critical reading
my act was just bad... taking that again on oct. 22

i really want to ski a lot in college. so that rules out most schools haha

uvm (want honors college), tufts, mcgill, colorado college, lewis and clark

got any others for me? i want a medium sized school. 5-15k students for me

3.79 unweighted gpa
2070 SAT first try
32 ACT first try
Almost no extracurriculars/awards haha
Have 60 college credits already through running start/ap tests
I'm taking the SAT again saturday, I don't know why I know I'll just be submitting ACT because I thought I did really bad the day off and then found out I got a 32 haha. I seriously bought 5 ACT study books and I've been studying hardcore. I better get at least a 33 on it.
Oh and I'm applying to UW MSU and UNR

just sent in my MSU and U of Utah apps today. hyped. MSU is my first choice so hopefully it works out. oh and SAT's were a bitch yesterday, every time i do a math section i want to fucking stab my self with my pencil.
