WTB Camera but I dont know what one... Help me out NS

Hey NS I need some help buying a camera, I've been looking for a while now but I just don't know enough about cameras to buy one with no advice. I have decided that want a DSLR I just don't know what one. If you can help that would be great, THANKS!

1) What is your budget? How much money can you spend right away, and do you think you can get more money to invest in the future?
2000 right away and I can get more money in the future.

2) What experience do you already have with cameras? Have you ever even used one before? Have you helped your friend out with his camera? Have you owned your own?
I use cameras all the time with my school because they have a TV station. I have used both a DSLR (EX. Canon T2i) and regular video cameras (EX. Sony handycam nex-vg10). Right now I do not own one but I use them all the time.

2) What gear, if any, do you currently have? (tripod, old camera lenses, mics, etc)
None personally but my school has tripods, stabilizers, mics, lighting and a lot more.

4) What are you planning to shoot and how do you want to use your camera? Are you going to use this with the sole purpose of shooting skiing? or do you think you might try other stuff as well (movies, documentaries, short films, etc)
I am going to use my camera for a lot of skiing and I plan on shooting most of it with follow cams or on a tripod with a slider.
I also would like to use it to take pictures that I can sell at like flee markets and stuff because a lot of Canadians vacation in my town, and I plan on taking the pictures right off a tripod or freehand.

5) Do you want a camera that you can hand to your friends, that could or could not have film experience, and let them shoot you? or will you be doing all the filming?
I will be doing all of the filming.

6) When filming skiing, how do you tend to shoot? (follow cams, leave it on record on a tripod and hike, film from a tripod, etc)
Follow cams or a tripod (with skiing I use my friends camera a lot)

7) What computer do you currently have/use to edit (if not currently editing, what would you most likely use)? If you can provide specifics, such as hard drive space, RAM, processor size, that would be great. I have a Windows laptop and a Macbook that I can use but I don't know the specs on them.

7) What program do you currently edit on? How familiar are you with it (1- just learning; 10- I can make tutorials and know the keyboard layout)
Sony Vegas Movie Studio and Final Cut Pro and probably a 7 with both of them.

1) Do you think you might consider using a DSLR? I only want a DSLR so yes

2) Do you have any knowledge about the HDSLRS?  yes

3) Do you know the limitations to using HDSLRS?  50/50

4) Are you willing to take the time to learn about a DSLR, and how to shoot with manual lenses? yes I would love to I think it makes it more fun.

5) Again, do you want a camera that you can hand to your friends, that could or could not have film experience, and let them shoot you? or will you be doing all the filming?
