Replying to Buying heat molded boots

i was looking to buy used heat molded boots. i tried my friends Hotdoggers and really liked their fit. now id like to buy a pair, but university is expesive and i can only afford a used boot. the hot doggers im looking to buy were heat molded once and punched out a little. does the heat molding, if it was done professionally in a shop, i.e. done properly, affect the way the boot will fit to my feet in a major way?
