I thought it was fucking sick, yeah it ended abruptly but i was well past satisfied with the amount of bangers, soundtrack was pretty good overall, their were a few songs that aren't my style (i.e. heavy metal), but most were on point. Its cool to see some of the more underground riders getting full seggys this year like leigh powis and mike henitiuk, that fucking pov or henitiuk was insane and lj's seg was ridiculous. editing was good IMO, all in all a really great movie.
on to the ordinary skier, the beginning was really sick and inspirational, the part that was actually about seth and his life. But about a quarter of the way through, the movie somehow changed into a documentary about chamonix. Yeah chamonix is sick and all, but im not trying to watch a 60+ minute movie of shitty snow and jump turning down a couloir, in the sweltering theater. on top of that the movie had tech difficulties and screeched to a hault many times, making an even longer movie.
Agreed ^^ on most of the above. The soundtrack was pretty good overall. It gave a different feel to the movie and I'm glad I didn't hear any electronic bullshit like last year. Some of the hip-hop/rap songs...? Didn't like them one bit. Just was not feeling it. Abrupt ending left me like it was missing something, last years closing segment was great, it just ended well. Multiple banger shots, but each persons segment was cut down tremendously it seamed. Stoked Clayton and Cam are filming with them now.
As for the Ordinary Skier I thought it was really inspiring. Most of the time at the beginning it was like they were taking the words right out of my mouth. Couldn't have explained skiing IMO any better.
Just some other thoughts, AC next year please. I was dying. Also, the guy on stage talking the majority of the time was funny, but pushed it WAY too far and just got annoying with his comments.
Overall it was a good time and I had a blast. Different feel for a PBP movie!
I thought the part of grand bizarre that got to watch was fucking sick. I had to leave right befor charley's part though so i think I only saw like a third of the movie, which blows. On the other hand the begining of seths movie was pretty sick. But watching guys reppell in and out of chutes for 40 minuets is not really my thing.
