On this really hot day all the lips were melted down. I tried to hit an up flat box but i didn't pop because you never need to. Needless to say one ski was binding deep in the box and the other had broken it's breaks and was racing down the hill. i flew forward hitting the flat part of the box then landing on the ground. Luckily it didn't hurt too bad.

Was shralping some trees in really chunky powder last year... caught a tip, got filpped over right into a tree and blew up my helmet...

I'd be dead without it...

Well it was my first year skiing, my friend was teaching me how to hit rails, I got it the first time, second time I was going way too slow, and the rail wasn't ride on, you had to jump a little, and I popped, turned 90, my front ski made it on but my back ski hit the front of the rail and I flipped sideways and hit my face on the rail, as well as my knee and dented my helmet. And another one, I did a 1 on like a ten footer, landed switch, ski popped off, turned 90, caught edge and ate shit hard.

End of january this past year, tracked out carving on JFK at Jay Peak and slammed a tree: broken left forearm, three broken bones in my back and a separated right shoulder...not my best day.

i really havent had to many bad crashes because i haven't been skiing for that long, but it would probably be when i was a gaper and accidentally got switch in a groomer at high speed(without twins) and couldnt get back regular.... i just sorta fell over and slid into a tree (like i said, not that bad at all)

first lincoln loop attempt at mt bachelor in 3 feet of pow i landed on my head and rolled a few times, tore off my pole baskets and lost them and this was all in front of tim durtschi and dane tudor

Only other one I have video of. Not bad, kind if entertaining, could have been way worse, and not good for my ego. Skiing with my kids and videoing them skiing switch, forgot where I was on the hill and gapered into the trees.

for me i was just riding late spring at timberline, mobbing probably the fastest i've ever gone on skis, and got caught up in to sunbaked sludge, straight double ejected frontflip down hill to my face. my skis were just sitting about ten feet up hill, with the bindings perfectly popped up.

almost worst crash was when i almost stabbed myself in the stomach with my pole.
my actual worst crash was when i fell 12 feet to the top of my head off a jib cause i was dumb and hit it with no speed whatsoever.

last year while gelande ski jumping my right ski release upon landing and i tried to ski it out on 1 ski but the compression at the base of the landing hill was too much for my left leg. my leg gave way and i wend right to me head. dont really remember sliding on the snow or anything but it was a super hard fall and next thing i knew ski patrol was standing over me checking me out. walking away with a minor concussion thanks to my helmet. had to retire that helmet.
moral of story: WEAR A HELMET!

One time, I was doing a Chinese Downhill with some friends. It was getting intense, and we were going racer position down a chute. I tried to turn out to pass my friend on the right, but I went too far and caught tip on a tree root. I ejected, then proceeded to roll down the hill. The dude I was trying to pass only noticed because I actually rolled past him. When I came to a stop, I noticed I had had a full yard sale. My poles and one of my skis were 200 yards up the hill, the other ski's brakes hadn't come on, and it was still going downhill. My helmet had fallen off at some point, and my boxers were full of snow. Aside from that, and a sprained arm, I was okay.

I'm not quite in the fossil record yet, but there are definitely layers of sediment that are younger than I am.

A good philosophy is that, when there is more metal in your body parts than in the rails you are sliding, it's probably time to hang it up. So far, that hasn't happened yet.
