Trying to ski in Melbourne

I can't for the life of me find a way to ski. I am on exchange from America at Swinburne University of Technology in Hawthorn and I know that Mt. Buller is reasonably close but I can't find a way to get there. I really need a way to ski here.

Catch a bus like vline to buller or just go to the new indoor centre at docklands
