Armada Alpha 1 vs. Salomon Twenty Twelve, or Line Blend

getting new skis this year. trying to decide between the new armada alpha 1's or the new salomon twenty twelves. (or does anyone know how the line blends are?)  i ski probably 80% park and 20% anything else so just wondering which would be better. and with the rocker/camber/rocker is it a good idea to get center mounted? im about 5'8" 185lbs and a level III skier. would a 170cm ski be okay for me?

Well the alpha 1 is a park ski, the 2012 I believe is more for all mountain purposes and the blend has a 100mm waist so I wouldnt make it an everyday park ski. Personally I would go with the alpha 1, Ive actually been looking at those myself

The alpha 1 is certainly going to be better then the 2012 in the park, but the 2012 is so much better out of teh park. But with your 80% park to 20% all mountain you may as well go with the alpha 1. I would not consider the blend if that ratio is correct, you will be best off with a park ski.

170 may be a bit short though, Im 5'10 and had the 179 2012's last year and they were way to short. I tried the new 186 length and they were much better, so definatly make sure you demo first and get the size which suits you best.

At 185lbs 170 is waaaaay too short, especially something rockered. At that weight, there is no way I would ever suggest the blend (unless specifically stated that u wanted insanely soft skis)

i got 2012's, they are some fun skis .

and they slay on pow.
