NSTV Pilot Project

Hey Newschoolers!

We just wanted to remind all of the new and up-and-coming webisode producers out there that the deadline for entries in the NSTV Pilot Project contest is this Monday (September 5th) at 9pm PST/Midnight EST.

For those of you who missed it, click here to check out all of the details (https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/cult/contest/id/5234/cid/15/), but in a nutshell, we're looking to become the presenting sponsor of a new or up-and-coming webisode series, and are offering a $1,200 contract to whoever ends up winning.

Once the deadline for entries has passed, you, the kick-ass Newschoolers community, will have one week (from Tuesday, September 6th - Monday, September 12th at 9pm PST/Midnight EST) to vote for your favorites, and then the Newschoolers staff will pick the winner and announce it at the IF3 Palms Awards on Saturday, September 17th during the Nike 6.0 International Freeski Film Festival.

So if you're a webisode producer looking for a sweet hook-up, if you haven't already...get on it!

only way i can see it being legit would be getting a high res video file from the each of the top 3 and then truly announcing it at IF3. if they told the winner before then they might as well announce it to everybody because im sure whoever wins will be stoked and want to tell people right away. IMO. not really anything to straiten out before IF3 tho other than maybe getting some other info from the top 3.

There were so many banger edits in this contest that the online ns voting system for the top3 really can't do it justice.

Newschoolers should judge the contest themselves if they're going to provide 1200 towards a new video-blog series.


These video's were much better than the ones that made top3:

...maybe a little. I just got back from an 8 day canoe trip so I didn't have access to any internet during the voting, and spamming/social network promotion is essential to succeed in this kind of contest. It wasn't really a webisode either compared to the many other entries so I wasn't expecting to win anyways. I thought yours was really well done though, sucks you didn't make it :(

And that's the thing about contests on ns, you can't ever expect anything because shit always happens, people politic, shitty entries win, etc. I lost the on3p contest to an entry that I thought was no where close to as good as mine, but I still lost. It sucks, but it's a fact of ns
