That acura isn't "stanced"... theres nothing stupid about spending money on suspension and tires... it makes NO sense to buy an expensive stock car when you can build a faster car for significantly less and have the pride of building it yourself. Unless you're just buying the car to pickup loose women, in which case you shouldve just spent all that money on classy hookers+blow, and youd still come out on top financially.
I'm not saying his acura can beat a $100k car in any kind of race, just to clarify, I'm just saying that buying a factory car isn't as cost effective as buying a cheap car and modifying it to the same performance level, or even buying a modified car that used to be a shitbox. And I would honestly rather drive a shitbox as fast as it can go instead of driving a fast car at 1/4 of its true potential, which is what most people in expensive cars do.
n/a 2.0~ liter fwd vs. turbo diesel 6-7 liter rwd that costs twice as much... I'm sure the bro you blew to ride in his truck thinks you are so cool
600ft lbs+ of torque vs. less than 200 stock figures... do the math. Also, diesels can get substantial gains across the powerband from simple mods like exhaust.. it's alot harder to make power with an engine that is 1/3-1/4 of the size. Also, fwd =/= not conducive to fast 1/4 mile times. I wasn't trying to say that diesels were that fast... just that turbo'd engines are much easier to make power with than n/a engines. It seems to me like you're completely ignorant to the joy of driving a car fast... and I don't mean stomping on the gas on the freeway. Civics are really fun cars to drive, especially newer ones, as well as being cheap and easy to fix/modify
sr swapped 240 with a proper lsd can be had for under 5 grand easily on craigslist and can run in the 13s... I almost was on your side, but you should stop trash talking lol... also, with all the aftermarket support that now exists for 240s, you can basically buy bolt in kits for ls series engines... so... non running 240 for 500 bucks, limited slip for 1000 new, ls1/trans can be had for 4k, swap parts for easy install for under 2k
we're at 7500 dollars... and although the car at this point wouldnt be better than your car in "every single aspect" it is alot better of a base to build a real performance vehicle than an n/a 4 cyl fwd car
It's going to be very hard to find an s14 with an sr for 4k (at least around here).. although s13s can be had for that cheap regularly.. unfortunately most s13s have t25s instead of the t28 that comes stock on s14 srs.. which limits their potential for cheap hp somewhat.. I mean, dont get me wrong, its still insanely cost effective to get a front mount + boost controller and gain 20-30 whp over stock, but you cant (somone is going to say you can, but for all useful purposes, you cant lol.. boost spikes dont count) outflow the injectors (370 stock) with a t25
Still, the point remains... iSkiier trash talking out of ignorance
