well as some of you might know faction skis store is not up and runing. it is $610 for the Wednesdays for me including shipping to the US. that is kind of expensive. it got me thinking if it was worth it. like new lines and 4fronts are like $550 (prb like 570 including shipping which isnt too big of a difference but still.... so i was looking at the K2 public enemy for $400. i can, i suppose afford new skis either way, bit saving money is aloways good. I really like the Factions just becuase i like supporting small companies and i like to be the guy with somthing a little different. should i just go for the Factions or is it a waste of money?

Id go with k2 it hold up better than any other ski ive seen. I wouldnt risk money on a first year company, especially after never seeing them ni real life.

I'm not sure, but $610 dollars is a lot of money to let go for a pair of skis that might not hold up to their claim. Since the K2's have been proven to ski well, I think it would be more worth your money to save about $250 Dollars and go with a pair of K2's.
Unless your desire to be original and one of a select few who will have Faction's is abnormally intense, then go with those.

Would you rather have two pairs of Fujatives or Fujatives AND PEs? I just like having a spare whenever I go up because shit happens, and for me it happens quite often. Ripping out the heel of the binding ends my day w/o a spare.

well accually this is factions second yr making skis to sell to the public and before they ever went public they ran extencive testing to make sure the skis were ready to handle whatever was thrown at them. they have already improved on them alot from last seasons stuff taking feedback from there riders, people who demoed them, and even taking ideas from people like u sitting on there computer at home emailing companies about this and that. o and the skis that i think most compair the factions, msp's, cost more. after shipping factions = 600ish and msp's = 625 i know its not much of a dif but im just saying there not more expencive than other skis just like them. and if u want to buy skis made in chinies sweat shops(k2) be my guest.

you get what you pay for. usually the more expensive something is, the better quality it is and you'll get better performance out of it. K2 is really good tho but i just dont think they compare to other stuff.

^the factory in china is the same as any other, its just chinese people working there, not a sweatshop. K2 wanted to bring down prices, and they currently have the cheapest twin on the market. dont get me wrong, faction is sweet, but you dont have to try to make other companies look bad to sell skis.
ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

also keep in mind, stuff made in china can be better quality than other places. Just because the labor is cheap, doesnt mean the quality is.

im not saying k2 is bad or anything but what is concidered acceptable payment in china would basicly be slave labour in the US. and that doesnt mean k2 isnt sick, ive ridden there stuff and its awsome way better quality/durabilaty than some other ski companies that have factories in europe cough, dynastar cough, but if u gave me a ski made in china and a ski made in da swis id ride the swis ski over the chines ski any day.
o ya ive always wondered why are seth pistols so much more expencive than the rest of k2s stuff?

Lets just say wether your good or you suck niether ski is going to make you ski like a pro, honestly the ski is only gonna be as good as you ski. So i would just go with the k2's since there cheaper, go get good bindings with the 200 dollars you have left over.
