saw the Opener tonight. It was ok skiing but there was a catch..... It was only 30 minutes long. Save your money on a purchase, not worth the 12 bucks I paid.

session 1242 really hit the golden number in terms of ski movie length. it was perfect.

personally, i'm glad to hear set your sights is on the shorter side, i love shorter films. can't wait to see it!

If the biggest knock against this flick is that it's only half-hour...well, consider me sold.

One...maybe two movies this year have any business being 1-1.5 hours long and those are The Art of Flight, and depending on the format, Seth's flick.

Movie was good, expected more to be honest. Thought the powder seggys would be way more, from the phar ads and trailer it seemed like they would be so much more epic.

That was the point! Creating a ski film where kids can relate to level of riding and joy we get from skiing, is exactly why people received Come Find us so well. They could feel the emotion and identified with the riders.

On a better note, thanks to everyone has filled this thread with support and kind words! It sure is fulfilling to get compliments after a season of hard work and dedication.

I haven't seen this, so I guess my opinion isn't all that valuable, but I'm sort of shaking my head at all of the comments where people are claiming the riding is sub-par and that they could clock the same shots themselves....ok, well...go do it?

But really, if you want to see big, technical tricks, there's hundreds of FREE edits chock full of every type of flip, spin, or slide combo imaginable right on this very site.

For me personally, the value in ski flicks is only partially attributed to the skiing itself. In an era where everyone seems to ski with a camera, it's not hard to find shots of dub corks. It IS hard to find projects where those shots are put together in an interesting, dynamic, creative way. The narrative aspects (not necessarily meaning narration), the filming, the editing, the song choices, the "vibe"...all of those things, for me personally, are often just as important as the skiing itself.

 I also have a soft spot for these independent, homegrown, regional crews and their movies because...well, for the very reason you guys seem to dislike them: they're relatable.

I look at a crew like the Meatheads and their humble beginnings and I can't help but feel like these smaller films, made my tight knit groups of people, are the backbone of the whole game. A movie like Revolver goes to show that all of the talent in the world, doing all of the biggest and bestest flippyspinnys  possible, does not a great movie make.

Let me first say that Come Find Us is in my top 3 favorite ski flicks. That being said, I was a little let down by Set Your sights.

TSP nailed it last year because of the feel good vibe, music selection, creativity, and relatability. Companies like PoorBoyz and TGR arguably had better riding in their films, but I'd pick Come Find Us over their films any day of the week.

Set Your Sights wasn't as fun, creative or relateable, and IMO fell short in the way of the soundtrack.

The whole movie seemed like they were trying to become one of the big guns in the ski movie business. I don't look down upon that goal in terms of the desire to expand, but I hope they realize their success last year game from putting out a product that was different that of the already-established big guns.

This. Well, and this: Doing what these kids do takes balls, not just the riding being done and the risks involved... but also being willing to put themselves out for people to watch and hopefully enjoy.

Taking the time, effort and energy to comment negatively on someone else's efforts in a public forum, takes no balls.

As a sponsor of the film we have no regrets, TSP killed it once again and made cookies from scratch. Not every movie is for every person, but if the mission is to get a lot of people fired up for snow? Mission complete.

I donno man... those guys are rad... the skiing was super sick and I love what they're doing, but that movie was the perfect example of why ski movies SHOULDN'T be an hour... just couldn't keep the vibe. It just rolls on and diminishes the value of a lot of the sick lines, I thought.

mentioned was sick, but I am not sure you guys came to the right movie if you wanted a skin-slapping hour-long ski porno. Set Your Sights was legit. Sandy, Mack, Dash, Austin and Brock all crushed as well...plus many more

There were sick tricks, a solid flow, good tunes and serious cinemtography... what more were kids looking for? I'm on your team. Seeing One For The Road tonight and chances are I'll like Set Your Sights better... just sayin.

sick movie hands down, films from companies as this, in my mind should never have a film over 30-40 min, . but def a great premiere , created good stoke in the community , and some sick skiing to watch, shit man how can you be disappointed you spent 12 bucks to go c a dope movie. once more people watch this for themselves , the better

TSP is a group of incompetent skiers that try, yet fail at making cool movies because all their riders are dickheads that sit around wanking off too each other in the middle of buttfuck no where Montana. They think they are super hott shit, Kinda like this parody of rap artists out today, they just suck and so does TSP but somehow someway maybe you guys will get your cut. For now, go buy some gucci/coogi/louie/prada gear and try to make yourselves look cool

I just watched Set Your Sights,

It was awesome. one of the best put together ski movies this year. Is the skiing the same level as the movies with large budgets? No, but it is very enjoyable to watch, makes me want to go skiing, and flows well from segment to segment.

Ordered this movie as well as "Come Find Us" this past weekend and they showed up today.

Set Your Sights is great.  I loved the soundtrack!!!  So happy that is was not shitty rap like a bunch of the other stuff out there.  It was engaging, the skiing was sick, and the length is great.  These movies should leave you wanting more, not wanting to check your watch to see how long its been.  These are Ski movies, not Hollywood movies.

Also the 4FRNT video is in the bonus section is like 20+ minutes long and is pretty sick.

Worth the $15 I spent.  No Doubt.

whatever you say that was my favorite movie this year. the song choice was amazing. in lvl 1 and grand bizzare they had terrible songs. just goes to show you can make a great movie without doubles
