Need some help with spk boot and new skis

So I currently have the old purple, yellow, and zebra hot doggers with incredibly packed out liners and was wondering if it would be more beneficial to buy new liners(cheaper) or get spks. The rubber toe and the sheer comfort that spks offer intrigues me but I don't know too much about it. Also my skis are basically rockered now from the amount of time I've used them so I need a new ski. I ski about 90% park and I just want a light, poppy, stiff ski. Thanks

SPKs are comfy as hell, but not nearly a good of a boot as fulltilts.
I think the replacement parts full tilt offers is the way to go.
As for skis, gunna need a little more info. Do you like a stiffer or softer ski, wider, or thinner? What are you looking for, and what are you looking to hit?

imma say it before someone else does; if you didn't already, go to a bootfitter. you sound like you're just shopping for park boots cause it says park boots. If full tilts fit you well then SPK's will not cause they're so wide. Plus lots of the knowledgable guys on here aren't too fond of them.

Yeah spk pros feel like a wet dream in the shop but two days out you'll be cursing cause everything in the boot shifts outta place....trust me....they suck....the soft toe is super badass though....loved that...wish other companies would pick up on that.

sounds like you lied when the bootfitter asked if they were comfortable. spks should be almost uncomfortable when fitted as its known they pack out a bunch. ive head mine for almost 2 seasons now and still fit like a dream

Yup I lied....had every intent on spending a shitload of money on somethin that didn't fit....damn your good dude...how'd ya figure me out?.....why some people talk without thinkin first is beyond me...really...it's cool dude...why have forums like this right?....I had a bad experience with known issues that loads of ns'ers have confirmed....even solly admitted such issues...but shit dude I'll keep my mouth shut...who cares if some poor kid has the same issues I did right?...why should I pipe up to help right?....I mean your one of the FEW to have a good experience with this boot so that means everyone will right?....so sorry sir...I will never try to help anyone again by conveying my experiences....from now on I'll jus follow your lead and call people liars and such every chance I get...fuckin tard.

So maybe lair was the wrong choice of word. All i was trying to say was yes the boot has issues but the fitter can only go on what you say when they ask how its fitting. If you get the wrong perception of what they asked you can end up with sloppy packed out spks (in this case). Im all for using the forums for getting help on things. I think its good that people put forward their experiences with product, gives a good indication on what its acctually like without the sales dept trying to hide its flaws. To the OP, if FT fitted before stick with the shell and try and get intuitions fitted by a fitter as the spks have mixed but but more negative results.

And dude past the hate....seriously....I know a few shops that won't even carry spks because the fit becomes such an issue....they carry everything else solly makes but not the spk....again it's a shame cause they look sick and the idea of a two buckle system is valid and the soft toe is a good thing for park....they jus need to work out better liner materials and it'll be a great boot....but as far as I know they've only done some minor tweaking and did away with most of the leather outer on the pros....personally my leather outers held up great and weren't an issue like many others have said....point being that jus cause you got a set that fits decent doesn't mean they all will and it has nothin to do with a fitter.....an example would again return to the outers...I have a buddy who had the same spk pros as me and we ski all the same stuff....my outers looked great except for a few scuffs and one edge slice that wasn't visible....my buddy's boots however were trashed with the outers just in shreds...but he said his fit great where mine were a constant issue with random changing hotspots....yet we got them from the same fitter at the same time....to go even further my left boot felt great and the right was the big issue....and yes my feet measure damn near identical.....think you were jus lucky.

I ride these as well as the new spk's--it's easily my favorite set-up I've ever had.
I love the spk, you can heat-mold the liners, they are really light, and a 110 flex is perfect for all-around shredding. Of course, the soft toe, heel, calf, and tongue are amazing as well--never had shin or toe bang. I've never ridden full tilts (they didn't seem to fit my foot right when I tried some on), so this is a pretty one-sided opinion, but I can easily say that I would get another pair of spk's once these get too small or break (which I don't see happening in the near future).

What makes me laugh is the multiple essays you wrote in this thread that serve no purpose other than to argue and how you say I'm being tough on the internet then describe how you'd fight me in real life hahahahahahaha so much fail.

but your not Randy Couture.. Anyway , for the real subject of this thread man , i'm gonna tell you to go with Full tilts, i had S^k's and i didnt like it , nothing like the fulltilt experience. But its my opinion, everybody on here is going to tell you spks or fulltilts but the best way to to i think is that you go at a shop and try them on too see which one you are the most confortable in ,

I'm not freakin out....I never freak out....jus makin a point is all....it's real easy to talk tough online....I'm a super nice guy and would never set out to hurt anyone for no reason.....but I don't take shit from clowns either and the point is that if he called me a pussy to my face because of something I said and I didn't know him....I'd punch him in the throat before he took his next breath....but whatever....you kids argue jus argue so I'm done....you all win....your king of the poop talkers....I bow to your greatness......I'd love to be there the day that kid calls the wrong person a pussy though.....I'd be pretty funny.....saw a kid at killington get a pole wrapped around his head right in front of his dad last year for mouthing off to some dude who accidentally cut him off....the guy tried to apologize but the kid kept talkin shit and this 25 yr old jus literally bend his pole on the side of the kids head.....the kid was on the ground cryin and askin his dad why he wasn't doing anything and his dad was like "the guy tried to apologize but you kept being a smartass....you deserved it"....then he no shit shook the dudes hand right in front of the whole lift line....we were laughing our asses off.

Lol....I'm not Randy.....the biggest difference I always use is that most MMA fighters are trained to fight by a ruleset....for instance there's certain things you can't do in competition to get out of say a rear naked choke....whereas seals are trained to do whatever it takes to win a fight.....if someone were lucky enough to slap a rear naked choke on ya, you would reach back and pull his eye out of his head and show it to him kinda stuff that you could never get away with in a competition ya know?
