Replying to Shop refuses to center mount skis

Krokodile:
My friend was refused by our local shop when he brought his skis in to have them mounted.  I was just talking to him and he said the conversation basically went:

Friend: Would you be able to mount these at the center rather than 2.5 back?
Shop: Nahh man that is what the factory recommends that's what you need them mounted at.
Friend: But I am using these as a park ski and want them centered because I am riding switch a lot.
Shop: Trust me it will mess the skis up if we do that.  I've been in this business a long time.
Friend: I already emailed the manufacturer and they said some of their pros ride them center.
Shop: Yeah, but you're not a pro are you?
Friend: That doesn't matter.  If you won't mount these skis how I want them I'll find someone who will.

*Friend walks out*

Anyone have a similar experience?  I don't know what to do now because I want my skis mounted somewhere different than what Armada recommends.  Guess I'll have to drive to a different shop.
