Ok. I'm studying abroad this fall up until Mid December. What ski resorts are the best for early fall in Western Europe? I'm already planning a trip to Chamonix in November, but what resort will give me the best bang quality snow in october, november, december? +K For advice
saas fee has upper slopes open throughout the autumn, as does les 2 alpes, alpe duez(sp), pretty much anywhere with a glacier will have skiing in the autumn..
Les 2 Alpes has the Mondial du Ski usually in Oct/Nov on their glacier. If you travel a bit further east into Austria/Germany, they tend to have great parks set up on their glaciers at that time of year.
There's several glacier's in Europe that are really good:
- Led Deux Alps - FR
- Alpe D'Huez - FR
- Chamonix - FR
- Saas Fee - CH
- Laax - CH
- Kitzsteinhorn - AT
- Hintertux - AT
There's enough to choose from. Apart from Chamonix (or at least I don't know about Cham) they all have pretty nice parks.
