Boy throwing rocks from overpass shot by crossbow

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police say a boy throwing rocks at vehicles was struck in the abdomen by a crossbow bolt fired by a passenger in small sport utility vehicle.

Officer Dino Delimitros says the boy and a friend were throwing rocks in the Linda Vista neighborhood Monday afternoon when a passenger in a black Toyota RAV4 pulled out a crossbow and fired.

The boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital. The San Diego Union-Tribune says his injuries are not life-threatening.

His name and age weren't released.

Nobody has been arrested.

Throwing the rocks is just a petty crime. They never said they hit a car. In reality the punishment for posession would be worse than throwing rocks off a bridge

see how that makes no sense? it's not relevant...me saying that has nothing to do with me being "tough", it's the fact that this 16 yr old (who definitely knows the consequences of what he was doing, this wasn't some 9 year old kid) was putting multiple lives in danger and eventually somebody would have gotten seriously injured or killed. i believe in an eye for an eye. so him being shot by a crossbow (which is funny as fuck in itself) was well warranted and if he died...so be it. he obviously didn't care if he killed completely innocent people (whereas he was not some innocent bystander that got shot, he fucking deserved it) so why should i care if he gets killed?

All in all... no drivers were killed. No crossbow victims were killed. In fact, the kid who got shot by the crossbow probably is sitting at home right now watching price is right... little bastard haha.

Just like I did when he got beat up looking for fights back in the day rather than roll out like an idiot looking for revenge on whoever did it. You reap what you fkn sow, man. Bottom line is that the people driving down the road don't deserve to have a rock rip through their windshield, but we're supposed to consider the entitlement to safety for the asshole throwing the rocks? Fuck that. Now at least he can identify with not wanting to die or what it's like to have someone else put your life in jeopardy and hopefully that will dissuade him from doing things that could get others killed or seriously hurt in the future.

IT'S NOT A PETTY CRIME EITHER. When it can easily kill someone, it's not petty. He didn't steal a porn. He isn't underage and sneaking in a cig behind the gym so knock it off. He might as well have been shooting a gun at the cars. He's DAMN lucky he didn't kill anyone, or vice versa.

Or you could cry me a river for all the bad kids that someone thinks aren't for whatever reason. I'm to the point in my life where I could give two shits why you suck at life- which is really only the excuses you make for yourself and fuck entertaining someone else's rationalization why they can prey on others and its ok. I'm not saying throwing the rocks was ok or trying to make excuses for him. All I'm saying is it doesn't deserve an arrow in the gut . You guys can think what you want but this is just going in circles so I'm just gonna agree to disagree here and peace out.
