Boy throwing rocks from overpass shot by crossbow

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police say a boy throwing rocks at vehicles was struck in the abdomen by a crossbow bolt fired by a passenger in small sport utility vehicle.

Officer Dino Delimitros says the boy and a friend were throwing rocks in the Linda Vista neighborhood Monday afternoon when a passenger in a black Toyota RAV4 pulled out a crossbow and fired.

The boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital. The San Diego Union-Tribune says his injuries are not life-threatening.

His name and age weren't released.

Nobody has been arrested.

I feel the same way. I mean sure he was throwing rocks at cars, but that doesn't give someone a reason to shoot him with a crossbow. Thats fucked up

Yeah, it is really not funny at all.

If the angry passenger shot the kid with a gun then there would be zero people laughing at it. A crossbow is also a deadly weapon so where does the humor come from? Considering the kid was hit in the abdomen then he easily could have been killed. Both parties in question demonstrated terrible judgment though, and the kid's actions were really really really dumb.

Not that I'm supporting the guy who shot him, but how can you not see the humor in this? Who the hell carries a crossbow on them? Sure the kid could've died, but he didn't. Now the kid will think twice before acting like a little degenerate again. It seems more good than bad came from this.

On a different note I think I figured out whats fucked up about this situation. That guy is ok with shooting another human/kid with a crossbow.

but looks like the kid is going to be ok so HAHAHAHA it's gonna be the awesome when he's back chillen with his boys and they decide to throw shit again and that kids like fuck this I'm out.
