I'm due for some new boots and have tried on darn near everything WITH A FITTER!!!!.....these boots are pretty much made for my feet and nothing feels as good......so I'm looking for input from those who own them as far as how they've held up or any issues....I'm mostly concerned with how they pack out....if they pack out quick and deep, should I downsize by a half size....that kinda stuff....pretty sure I'm gonna get em but any honest input would be much appreciated.....thanks
FYI, there is no difference between half sizes in the liners. This is a pretty standard operating procedure for all manufacturers. We do use a 2mm thicker footbed in the whole size, but obviously this doesn't matter if you use aftermarket footbeds.
Yeah man I'm def gettin custom footbeds......and the packout thing I was jus kinda curious about....not my biggest concern....I'm jus tryin to get a feel for what people think....like are the buckles decent (unlike FT)....stuff like that....you've been a huge help nerdykid and I am gonna buy em....jus lookin for any user tips/ info ya know?
No worries man, I will just give factual info just so you can make the best decision.
Buckles are made from 7000 Aluminum alloy- same material our World Cup race buckles are made from. They have the highest failure strength of any of our buckles.
Haha....your jus a plethora of info....I hope ya didn't misinterpret the thread though....I was kinda tired last night and was just hopin to get some last minute opinions or helpful hints....after reading my post it sounds like I was looking for some bashing and that wasn't the case at all....the lack of user responses is kinda odd but I guess alot of ns'ers would shy away from this boot....but hey it fits me and that's all that matters right?....
Thanks but yeah it's not a special deal or any of that....jus street price at my local shop and they don't even have the full sizing line up yet cause it's too early....they'll be there....I like the quote though.....and ya always call outta work on a snow day too...lol
The 2011/2012 Hawx, 120 flex. They are fucking AWESOME!
Absolutely love 'em! They shred so incredibly hard. The boot is absolutely perfect for my foot and I just feel so comfy having them on. Only about 3-4 weeks of skiing on them, but I love 'em. Such a big improvement over my old ones.
I'm not much of a park rat, but I really haven't suffered from the tough flex or anything yet when in the park. I'm not going to do any sick dubs anyway, just regular spins and what not.
I'd highly recommend getting them if they fit you so well. Perfect for groomers, shredding and pow. You could also get the 100s, I'm pretty sure they're the same size, but a bit more versatile for park I reckon.
Thanks....yeah I'm doing less and less park these days and doin more backcounty anyway....I've never been a super tech park type anyway....I like big floaty 360s compared to skin of my ass barely landing 7s ya know?...by product of gettin older I guess...haha....but it's good to hear they worked out well...and yeah it's weird how well they fit my foot...I've been in lotsa boots and some that are mostly comfy but not as perfect as these are....they feel so good I was a touch worried.....I'm an oldschooler race/mogul type and used to jus cramming into a boot so comforts usually a bad sign...at least back in the day it was....but I'm off on a tangent....thanks again for the input...can't wait to actually ski them!
