Yo -
Just wanted to drop a little update for all of you. High Society should be in the mail in the next week or two, but I got to check out the world premiere down in CB over the weekend.
It was a rather subdued afair for the obvious reasons and the only athletes there were Nick Mercon, Wendy Fisher, and Seth Morrison. There was a very touching and nice dedication saying basically the movie is about living not dying and we should all focus on life now. It played outside after an amazing sunset and started off with another amazing intro - artistically pleasing and good. Shannon Schad had the first seggie and showed a great mix of freestyle and big mountain lines - after getting nutted sooo hard. Wait till you see what Shaggy catches fishing! Morrison again had the most progressive seggie in the whole film - as well as a bunch of shots in the boat trip segment. Seth is IMHO the best skier on the planet, with more style and drive to progress the sport than anyone - and he gets caught in another monster avie and skis out of it. Tanner Hall, CR, and Evan Raps had the best freestyle segments. Tanner really shows that he is the best all-around freestyler between tech tricks and huge stylie moves like the blending of backflip and flat spin-3 grabbed indy. Nick Mercon also had a sick, but short, segment with tons of spinning and indy grabbing. Lots more stuff to talk about - the movie runs 84 minutes this year, a nod to the fans, not the freezing temperatures in crested butte - but you will have to go get it yourself. Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not mention that Saucer Boy gets funnier every year.
