If you had the time to sit down with every individual in Finland (or those who share your viewpoint Mike-O) and logically discuss the statistics woozy posted, it is impossible to come to the conclusion that more legally obtained guns = more crime. Every single person would be forced to succumb to the facts (assuming what he posted is true)
The sticking point in your argument is that most people do not WANT guns to begin with, which is based off of a biased emotional opinion clearly created by our cultural differences. I would wager most people "across the pond" are completely unaware of true correlations between crime/murder rates and the availability of guns. It's much easier (and faster) to persuade an uneducated mind with the more guns = obviously more crime argument because naturally that is what would seem to make the most sense. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however factually unfounded it may be.
In all honesty though, there's just no arguing with cold hard math. Woozy's post is a kill shot.
