Salomon Suspect 2012

Has anyone ridden it? Im considering getting myself a paif of those.

you will of course get loads of people here telling you its the worst ski and it will fall aprat. Most of them have never had a pair and just like to hate on teh suspect.

In reality its any awsome freestyle ski. Its quite stiff so its not the most playfull or buttery ski, but it has so much pop. Its really light and with the pop it jumps like no other ski. Very stable at speed as they are stiff, so its not a bad all mountain carver either. Not great in powder but thats not really what its for.

So if you like to ride hard and fast and prefer jumps to rails, its one of the best skis out there. If you prefer a softer more buttery ski and spend nearly all your time on rails you might want to look at other skis. Not to say it sucks on rails, but I had both the suspect and the T-hall as my park skis last season, and the T-hall is much more fun at slower speeds and more technical rail stuff.

one of the funnest park skis out there. they just aren't reliable in terms of durability.

Thanks man. I know its so hard to get a good ski for both.... park and rails.

I might compare some from ninthward or the new coreupts with the salomon...
unfortunatly i dont get discount for armada otherwise i'd get some for sure.

wrong. he specified this year, and this years are much better in both the durability and quality of there product. I heard they are being built in a new factory and have new technology (not edge armor) to strengthen the edges under the boot.

I really like all the salomon ski, suspect are by far one of the best park. I was hating until i tried them, now i might buy a pair. If you got a sweet deal go for it, you wont regret it.

I LOVE MINE. very good ski. havent had any durability issues. a lil stiff but the pop is lovely! and once you get used to em. they can be pretty playful

not going to lie its a good ski when it comes to skiing but its not worth it because they delaminate fast, the edges brake and the constucton just isnt good at all.

Absolutely. Just be sure to detune the edges right under the foot where you slide rails. It won't affect the ski's ability to carve very much, but will really help prevent edge cracking. People hate on salomon so hard because of the durability of the edges, but they don't understand that when an edge isn't detuned properly, everytime you slide a rail the edge will bite into the rail with much more force and friction than if it had been detuned. this causes increased pressure on the edge, causing it to snap, creating an edge crack. Detune, and all of your durability concerns will have been adressed.

Use a question mark, honestly.. No one knows what you mean. We're supposed to guess if what you wrote is interrogatory or not?

To your "question"
I would get punx if you hit rails more than jumps. They are more flexible and playful, they're also symmetrical which I prefer on my skis. It comes down to personal preference..

Yeah they are fine for jumps but if you like to do rails i would suggest something else because i have rode them for half a season and the side walls and top sheets are starting to fall apart!!To be completely honest i would not go with the suspects again because they are pretty heavy and stiff and do NOT have strong sidewalls and topsheets that crack very easily

Depends on your style... if your a jumper in the east coast, you're gonna love em. however i'm more of a all mountain jib guy so i hated them: super stiff, crappy in pow days or in the woods. but in jumps and switch landings they hold up suuuuper good

I personally found them a fun ski, and the pair I was riding was completely destroyed. This year the quality and build seems higher on them then in the past couple of years too
