I made this edit using FCP, everything looked fine until i uploaded it to Vimeo. After it was uploaded there appears to be horizontal lines going across the video. I was wondering what i could do to get rid of them. Im guessing it has something to do with exporting the video.
The horizontal lines are interlacing. It's the way the video was shot, the image is made up of a bunch of horizontal lines which is what people mean when they say 1080i or 60i. The other way video is shot is progressive, meaning it's horizontal and vertical lines of data weaved together.
In FCP you can go to effects, video filters, some other subfolder, deinterlace. That should do the job.
