I spent some time there last year, its awsome. Don't expect a park, cause there is none, but for Powder...wow. Let me give you an overview of my trip: They only accomodate like 400 guests per week, so there are never lines. They can do this because its deep in the Andes and buses only come on rotating days, so no one new really comes in. I stayed in student housing, really crappy hostel basically but there is also a really nice lodge. Food is free and comes with the package, all you can eat meals. It snowed the night I got there so much that there was fresh pow every day, plus it snowed every night to add onto that first huge storm. I met a dude who worked with the SPanish Soloman Freeride team and I skied with him for a while. Check out the gap jump they have set up sometimes and Tio Bob's. Its tight.

you probably won't be skiing cold powder in september as it is very late winter/spring in chile at that time. but it is the andes so thye get late season snow, and of course nice corn sking.

valle nevado is a very cool place as well.

I am down here right now. I left Portillo though to ski Las Lenas recently. The snow has been the worst in a very very long time. I spend my summers down here for 2 or 3 months to ski and party. The terrain is ridculus and very similar to the Alps. Best part is, none of the Latins get up early to ski the freshies so there are plenty of untouched acres well into the afternoon. They party till the sunrise and just love life. The ladies are gorgeous and worship American men. No parks here, just rippin terrain and and ridiculus scenery. Get down here if you can and I'll show you around.
