I agree with this post.

The Mechanics of the story don't make sense. The courage it takes to stand in front of an audience and explain the course of your life's darkest moments, especially a half baked premeditated suicide would only come from the type of person that wouldn't have even though of suicide to begin with given his scenario.

I found it to be touching, only until I really gave it some though however.

That being said, I honestly believe that suicide is a weak and immature solution to mostly temporary problems. Its scary to think that people will consider ending their own lives over things like this.

and your and ignorant american. you obviously have never had to deal with someone commiting suicide that your close to. and the kid wasnt just unpopular, he prolly got bullied every day, and that is a very easy wasy for kids to want to kill themselves.

do you wake up in the morning beat off eat some cheetos then play cod all day? becuase your so ignorant to the world around you. everyday horrible things go on around you and unless you have enough respect for others and have a heart you will try to find out so you can learn and be aware. depression not only comes from "white people problems" as you say but its also generic, so instead of calling and blaming innocent kids who cant help their depression weak and useless get a fucking life and get outside to see the world

i like how you still haven't taken the time to respond to my post. i have seen third world poverty, and yea americans have it way better. that doesn't mean severe depression and suicidal thoughts are suddenly inexistent possibilities. IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE.

saying things like "if people actually have the thought and intent of killing themselves let them," or "if you have the thought about killing yourself when you live in this country theres something not quite right with you," is both hurtful and ignorant.

i've gotten over my depression, so all you're posts did was piss me off. but i guarantee theres some sad kids on here who read comments like that and it makes them feel even worse about themselves. seriously did u ever even think about how cruel what you're saying is?

you read a story about understanding the consequences of your actions, then proceeded to say that depressed people actually should kill themselves?

sorry man. my point is that if you're thinking about killing yourself because your life is so bad then I pity you. How is killing yourself the solution? be proactive and change whats bothering you. It's the land of opportunity. I tend to get upset with people like you because you don't know how good you have it. My point is that people here have it pretty damn good. life's too short to go through it being upset.

im depressed because like i said its genetic.

i dont go through life moping around wishing i was dead. i am generally happy, i came in and started this argument to stick up for the rest of the million of people in the world who deal with depression not because they didnt get enough pussy that night but for real legitement reasons that make that person depressed.

Pretty bold claims over the Internet.
Depression is a phenomenon in which pharmAceutical companies can profit off suckers who believe it.

Do you actually think that we as a human race can land on the moon but we cannot find a cure for cancer? There is no simple and cheap cure because millions of doctors and nurses would be out of jobs. And I'm quoting dr. Norbert mora of Yale university here a close friend and doctor of medical studies at Yale.

my point initially was that there's millions of people who go to bed hungry every night and dont know when their next meal will be. I doubt thats your problem so lighten up. Sure it's human nature to sometimes be upset but how can killing yourself solve anything. Personally I think these types of people are attention whores. Oh btw my cousin took too many Tylenol on purpose and died Do o think he was an attention whore? yes because he was.

you're failing to understand that depression is a disorder. Its something that happens to you, whether you're a positive person, negative person, if you live in africa, if you live in the US. It can happene to ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.

Its not whether you try to make the best out of life or not, depression just happens man. Understand that it's not a person's choice to be depressed.

B. Do you think im an attention whore because my Uncle just died then 3 days later my dog died and then a little over a week later my parents decided to get a divorce? I didnt fucking choose for that to happen. I painted a fake smile on my face for 6 months last winter and all it did was make me more unhappy. the only thing that made me feel better was voicing out my unhappiness. When you call someone an attention whore all that person is trying to do is reach out for help.

C. I am sorry to hear about your cousin, because losing a family member fucking sucks
