Taking edges off skis for rails

I have a old pair of dynastar candides, the i only really use for jibbing. Had an idea of taking a section of the edges off the ski underneath the binding, for super smooth sliding on rails.
I know the Tanner pro model isn't going to have edges under the binding. So do u think it'd work if i tried doing it myself? Anyone got any tips on how to do it?

I think if you took a section off the edge on the rest of the ski might start to fall off. You would want to probably expoxy the place where the egde stops and starts

if u don't care about completly fuckin up the skis then go for it, but i think that if u take off a section of the edge; your goin to have problems skiing normal, but since u said u only use them for jibbing go for it.
Why don't u just go suck a fuck!.....'Oh really!? Tell me how exactly does one suck a fuck???
Your such a fuck ass! 'Did you just call me a fuck ass?! lol' *little girl comes in and says* Whats a fuck ass?

im pretty sure tanners skis have an edge? the sidwall just comes to 90 Degrees under the boat area so they get less impact? i might be wrong tho

You can, but the rest of the edge will be gone after a few hours.

just grind with them until the edges under the boot fall off then take the skis and appoxy them and shit where the edges stop...it should hold them in. it makes a really smooth grind too but sometimes sticky

file the edge under the foot at about 45 degrees with a panzer for a little.

edges help alot more on a rail with the feel and all that you think, i slid some rails with no edges and it was awfull i felt like i had no grip on the rail

yeah, dont try to take um off. just get some good sandpaper or a sanding tool, and round off your edges on both sides of both skis. if your gonna be doin press slides, take the detuning further up the ski.

if u ask me, its a bad idea, I mean at first its ok but sooner or later u will be grinding sidewall and sidewall dont slide well at all.

the only time i think you should rip um out is if your hittin a rough ledge. they wont last long, but would slide better. youd be lucky if they held up for one session though

tanners skis have edges but under foot they come at an angle of what he would normally file his skis so he doesnt have to.

that would be retarded to take the edges off.
Check out the trailer to Minor Threat. It features the best skiers from all over New York State (It's under the edits/shorts section or in Huckfest900's profile)
