2012 Line SFB, 2012 K2 Kung Fujas or 2011 Rossignol S3

I am leaning towards the 2012 KF. I've tested the 2011 S3, and liked them a lot, but I was looking for something a bit wider at the waist.

I'm 5'9" and I weigh 170 lbs.
40% park
60% everything else (mostly powder)

The Kung Fujas are an extremely awesome all-mountain ski. You can slay jumps and hit rails while shredding deep powder. Terrific ski and one of the best one ski quiver choices you can make.

Yeah alot of peeps swear by the fujas...I dunno...I demoed them and to me they jus don't feel as good as the bacons....or the opus for that matter

Why buy shitty china skis? Pep doesn't even ride these, why would you? If the S3 isint wide enough go with the S7, not the super s7 because they are way to stiff and long for anything other then alaska or heavy assed serria cement. The rossi 2012 scimitar looks like it would be a fun ski as well but I'm a big fan of camber under foot with rockered tips and tails so I would go with the S3 personally.

of those choices the SFB. but to add another....2012 nordica soulrider. the most versatile ski ive ever been on and also the most fun. does everything extremely well.

Ya know I gotta say that your right about k2/line....lines been real damn good to me over the years but the fact that they're made in china has just become super glaring to me...it would be one thing if their skis were super cheap price wise compared to other brands but they're not....this may be the last year I buy line....their skis are seriously magical and have been amazing but I simply can't get past the fact that they're no longer made in the US.....based on principle alone I've been researching some of the smaller companies with skis made in the states and will likely base my future purchases accordingly.

Dude do you live in America?....I'm guessing pipemunky doesn't by his icon rockin the Canadian hat but dude this country is hurtin right now for jobs....when ya have companies like k2 and line sending jobs over to china to save a buck but don't translate that back to the consumer it's kinda effed up and isn't helping our economy....it's not a us thing either....if line and k2 were Chinese companies that would be fine ya know....but don't parade as a us company and then be a part of the problem yet parade around as "Eco-friendly" while your makin skis in a country with the worst Eco-track record.(china)

if you want something wider i would recommend the opus... absolutely sick in powder and it holds it own in the other stuff. In my opinion line butchered the sfb with the 2012 model

Yeah I've stuck it out with line for a long time but I dunno....it really bothers me to look down at my opus and see "made in china" on them knowing as much as I do about it.....used to blame k2 and make excuses for line....but I've seen friends lose good jobs based solely on the economy lately and alot of the problem is good companys shipping out their jobs to other countries....seriously if Rossi was gettin their skis done in china I'd say eff them too....whatever country should represent where they're from or at least pass on the savings to the consumer.

i may be wrong here but i haven't seen an american flag or "made in america" on the K2 brand in years...not too sure how they are parading as an "all american" brand. is it maybe because the K2 and Line pro teams are primarily North American skiers?

would you honestly like a big banner on the K2 and Line websites saying "hi we make our skis in China we're really not an american company"?

if you're going to make claims that K2 is being sneaky and trying to fool their consumers, you need some evidence.

Line was started in America....by an American and is currently headquartered in america....k2 did used to have a flag and a "made in the USA" on their skis....they are headquatered in America....so I don't see your logic here....what are you arguing for exactly?....that's it's cool to ship out jobs to other countries?.....as I've said before there's a ton of ski bums who would jump through hoops to press skis for line or k2....but no they'd rather pay someone $1 an hour to do that....yet they don't translate that to the consumer in the form of less expensive skis....and I get it....that's capitalism.....but when people are hurtin here how do they sleep at night.....I'm all for a good argument but I really don't see what your defending here....I like ya and mean no ill will but I used to proud of stickin with line since the beginning.....I was proud they represent my country....as should Rossi fans who live in France.....but to look down and see made in china on my skis makes me sick....it's not news to me....it's jus become so glaring that I can no longer stand by and use the k2 excuse for line....and I happen to know those guys don't like it either but they need to grow some balls and stand up to k2 and refuse to ship out jobs.

I am trying to decide what to get...I am torn between the Line SFB, K2 kung fujas, and the Line Opus.  I ski out west twice a year about 15 days and the about a week on the east cost. I currently have the Rossy Scratches... What do I do?  I found the 2011 Kung Fujas brand new for $399....should I buy these and the Opus?  Is there a difference between the 2011 and 2012 Kung fujas?

I wouldnt call it masquarading with a made in usa sticker if they used to be made in the usa and they took it off when they moved production to china.

lib tech says "made near canada", is that better?

SFB might be a little wide if you ski park 40% I'd go with the KF I skied those in park last year when I demoed them and they were great
