just saw a commercial for this looked online at it...$64,000 dollars for a fucking hyndai? They are out of their minds. Hyundais fucking suck and for that kind of money..ill sacrifice for a little less accesories and purchase a loaded 5 series or something much more respected

Have you seen the Equus? It's actually REALLY nice. People don't want to buy it because it's a Hyundai and they are viewed as cheap cars. I think Hyundai has really upped their game. The Genesis coupe has also caught my eye. Both the cars have the style and functionality of more expensive cars, just at a lower price. But i'm only 16 so don't take my word for it.

Ever since Chung Mong Koo took the reigns in the late 90's hyundai has vastly improved almost every aspect of their company, with a huge helping hand from their parent company

also in 2004 they ranked 2nd on JD power and associates initial quality survey having only 102 problems for 1,000 vehicles

its also not meant to compete with the 5 series..its going up against the 7 series which fully loaded cost $125,000...making it a good alternative for people who want a brand new car with tons of luxuries

but sure go and buy something based on what kind of badge it wears on its front grille....idiot

No, You could pay $20,000-$60,000 more for and A8 or 7 Series with the same (or maybe even slightly less impressive) features. The Hyundai has fucking massage seats. As far as I know no Audi, Benz, or Beamer can do that for under 70k. You'd basically be paying tens of thousands of dollars more for a logo.

But after I saw what Hyundai did to the Equus, it changed my mindset about Hyundai totally. All I'm sayin is, don't hate on the car just because of the brand. I watched a review on it, some guy took the Equus to a local car get-together. People thought it was a Maybach, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Beamer, Mercedes, ETC. Shit's 64 grand and its got adjustable back seats. I'm pretty sure thats not even an option on an S class.

I've seen them in person and they are NICE as fuck.

Also, the passenger seat folds down to make a recliner out of the back seat. The car was basically made for rich Korean business men.

truth. that thing looks sick quite nice.

its not like the designers at hyundai just suck at making cars, its just that until recently they were trying to make cheap, yet effective cars. im willing to bet they can make a luxury car just as well, if not better than they can make a cheapo.

as an industrial design major i can guarantee you that no one goes to college for atleast 4 years to get that degree, then get hired by a huge car company if they're not one of the best in the game.

I used to hate on hyundais too until I was looking for a sedan and test drove the sonata along with others in it's class(accord camry altima) and 2 weeks later I bought the sonata. Hyundai has def stepped their game up , just look at where they are now....

lol, hyundai and kia are better quality than nissan now that that french dildo took nissan over. the koreans arent fucking around when it comes to cars, they make good vehicles for the blue collared worker and the gas doesn't break the bank either. I'd even go as far as saying that they are a more respectable company then audi, since audi/vw breaks down all the time and they dont do recalls.

read any review on the full sized genesis and it is often compared to a 750, for HALF PRICE!
BMW reminds be of Sony, they make amazing products, but your paying for the name.

bwm has made exspensive cars forever, of course your shocked when hyundai makes a car worth over 60 grand. dosnt mean its shit. hyundai has been winning all kinds or awards lately, for a good reason. look at KIA, everyone thinks oh cheap ass cars, Killed In Action, meanwhile they are the worlds fastest growing automaker. just a matter of time till they roll out a 60K car.

think about it on a larger scale. Lexus makes beautiful cars, many of which break the 100K mark, and in many peoples eyes are worth every cent. THEN they come out with the LFA, which is what, 500-600K? and people (rich ones) are lining up to buy it. how is that any different then hyundai making a 60K car?

Yes. And maybe it is because of the name. I do believe BMW makes quality vehicles, and if you're going to spend $65k on a car, would you rather be that guy in a Hyundai or that guy in a BMW? Just speaking name wise.

Not sure if you were already upset or you forgot to read. As people said earlier in this thread Hyundai is not at the point where it's a highly desired brand, especially at the 60k price range.

I think this can compare to something like an acura, a little over honda's, toyota's , etc cars of that level, but still under the top luxury brands. Idk where you grew up....but where i grew up, no one in their right minds would spend that kind of money on a hyundai...its either a bmw, benz, etc. Hyundai is aiming way to high for what there image and type of buyer is. No one going out to spend that kind of money on a car is going to want a hyundai.

first off its equus

It uses a finer grade leather than every other car in its market except the A8L

It uses the same lexicon sound system that all new Rolls have

Its motor was named motor of the year and is an extremely simple platform to work on

Its literally half the price of its main competitors, 750li A8L S500 lx430 and 600h, etc.

and to top it off, its a hyundai. 100,000 mile warranty, wont break down, and everything just works.

I would rock the shit out of the new Hyundai Lineup for a few reasons- you are getting a phenomenal car for a great price, its is backed by Hyundai which is one of the largest companies on the planet- cars are just a small part of what they do, and the fact that they spent years developing and designing these cars to produce a phenomenal lineup

with all the awesome and fast cars that I have oqned/driven over the years only one has stood by the entire time

My Hyundai Accent GL

I got the car from my sister, It had 25k on it and was perfect. I have since put another 40k of absolute horrific driving on it.

like

hitting a deer at 60 and not having a scratch on the car

having a gps route us onto snowmobile trails, and then driving 3.5 miles in slushy ass snowmobile trails just to see if it would make it.

Repeatedly jumping and abusing the shit out of the car, thru fields, over jumps, rallying down gravel roads,

City driving, highway trips, you name it it has been there done that, including another few thousands miles with my little brother.

4 ski seasons, relentless beating,

Now i have it out at school with me and its a fucking beast.

I change the oil every 4k, new headlights bulbs and tires, and a set of sensors on the transmission

besides that it is perfect, never has it broken down, acted up, anything.




I wish my other cars were as great as the White Demon is to me.

the TT fucking sucks, and looks retarded. the new hyundais are actually not too bad. the sorento comes standard with leather interior and gps. the hyundai is a decent car for its price . the accent always has and always will suck though.

The exterior isn't anything special, but that interior looks sexy. I mean come on, it has a fucking fridge and reclining massage chairs in the back. I would totally buy it.

my brother sells hyundais and they are more than legit....

the Equus is BALLIN...... pretty much everything about the car blows away all its competition, which also happens to be $40,000+ more expensive, that car is so damn impressive in so many ways, and hyundai's customer service with that car is unmatched, oh yea and the owners manual is an Ipad 2......

Hyundai's lineup is pretty damn solid and its only growing, they're changing the game for sure
