This is how police were in the past. Now they are forced to fill quotas and there are a fair amount who will do anything to get to use hand cuffs and a walkie-talkie. This video makes me think of a police force that wanted to help the public, not give it a fine.

Not at all true. I think you're thinking of movies depicting the early 50s.

Police forces have historically been corrupt to levels that people now wouldn't even begin to believe. Bribery and shit like that was completely expected. Hell, the chicago police department was literally run by the mafia for years. Unless it was a really small town, you didn't have your jolly old policeman come by just to say hello.


and police forces do help people. But a youtube video of a cop helping someone isn't nearly as exciting as one of a cop beating someone. The reason those videos/actions make the news is because they are the exception. And fortunately, not too many people have to deal with the police on a regular basis, which makes it seem like tickets and shit are all they do.

Cops in any big city are going to be fucked...

This place in NZ looked smaller and probably was. Also my dad has told me countless stories of cops being like the NZ ones in my town back in the 70's. They had been caught by the cops with like a 1000 person party and 20 kegs. Now a days cops here will give you a MIP for one beer

I guess I mean smaller town, lesser developed suburban areas. I've never lived in a densely populated or city area. I could see a different police in those areas.

What alot of people dont realize is that if you're an ass to the cop they will fuck you. Cops like to fuck asses. So dont be the ass that gets fucked.

COPs are sooo chill there its amazing. I was wasted, stetched out over 3 other people in the back seat of a little car going to the bar. We got pulled over because the car was so low it was obvious. I apologized right away to the cop, mentioned i was a dumb canadian and knew better. He let me and the other two guys in the trunk go without tickets which would have been $150 each. Then let the driver go wtih just a warning as well.

Fuck ya, that would almost never happen here in Canada. yes i know it could happen but its much more rare.

NZ is the chillest country ever, i want to go back so bad, i love every kiwi.

My mate got busted using a fake i.d. I make him trying to buy beer at a supermarket. Cops were called etc. He fessed up, they took the i.d., gave him a warning and never told his parents. He was 17 at the time.

Another mate got snapped pissing on a building and a cop stopped and told him to wipe it off with his shirt or they were gonna arrest him. He was not arrested that night.

Had some cops just ignore us smoking my pipe in my car at 3a.m. one time.

Also got let off getting in underage at a club one time by the cops.
