cant telll if this is a troll or actually serious. why would salomon turn away from freeskiing. they've built up so much in the freeskiing world. why the hell are companies turning their backs on skiing. first it was nike 6.0 and now salomon
yeah well were picking up companies too. ones that dont suck huge ass too. such as north face and lib tech is making more skis now then ever before. salomon skis sucked ass anyway, like shark night 3d they were for no one.
i seen him the other day at an oakley promo thing up remarkables (close to cardrona) and he didnt have armadas. but he did have some fulltilts and said they where shit.
...as far as I know, Salomon dropped there freeskiing team which Dumont was a huge part of and has been contacting Armada for representation. Whether Armada has accepted him is another story.
i highly doubt that.
salomon in north america dropped their race program several years ago to focus on the freeskiing market. to think that they'd pull a complete 180 after all the time and money invested in their freeskiing program is a little far fetched.
besides, their current team is what got them to where they are today with respect to market share.
my buddy said the whole season is about backcountry season, which is where Salomon is headed anyway. not that its a bad thing, just different from park. i bet Bobby and all the hard core backcountry guys stay, more comp/ park athletes are dropped or let go.
I feel like I should have read more than the first page in this thread before I posted.
But if I understand correctly, he was dropped, and is currently in New Zealand meeting with companies? Probably discussing contracts and testing their park skis?
