Remounting skis?

I got these skis last year and I put some binders on em.  Then the binders broke when i landed nose heavy on a 5.  What the deal with remounting skis?  i wanna know if I can put them back in dead center or what do yall suggest?

You might be able to use the existing holes, but I wouldn't recommend it.  If you have a different binding, you might be able to go back on dead center without having the old holes in the way.  It's just a matter of taking a look to see.  I don't like having new holes any closer than about 1 cm from the old holes.  You might have to move them back a bit to make sure you aren't too close.  when you put more holes in your skis, you are weakening the core, and if they are too close to the old ones you are risking pulling the binding out, which most ski companies won't warranty.

Is it just a piece of the binding that broke off or did the binding actually rip out of the core ?

if it's just the binding that's broken, look for the same model and remount that single piece....

If the binding however actually ripped out of the ski you have 5 options

1) if the holes aren't stripped you can simply remount in the same holes again
2) if the holes are partially stripped or you don't trust that business, you can get helicoils or any other kind of insert in those holes and you'll be set again !
3)remount forward or backward (keep at least a cm distance between old and new holes)
4)remount with different bindings, make sure that with the new bindings screw pattern, there still is at least 1cm between old and new holes....
5) get new skis

its all going to depend on if its the same bolt pattern or a differnt binding. you can often use the same holes if you put a spring in them, but if they ripped out and tore the holes out, theres no way you can use em.

heres what you do. go to r local i shop have them put helicoils in your holes and remount them. helicoils give you better pullout strengths. when i drilled my suspects for the first time i just straight put the helicoils in there so i dont have to worry about that problem. What i did this last two years  though if use the new armada stepbit. which only some shops will have it if they sell armada skis. They use two different dimension depending on if you have all wood or some metal in it. The armada stepbit drills with the bit getting smaller at the tip which gives ity double the pull out strength. both work great. hope that helps
