In an effort to combat ignorance in this primary season, given all the shit that's flying around as contenders for the R nomination run to the right in order to garner support from the base, the WaPo has collected, reviewed and attempted to harmonize the results of the most prominent studies from economists reviewing the effect of the stimulus. A link to each study is available on the page, in the event you want to read the whole thing.
Basically, this is one of the most helpful, informative pieces of journalism I have seen in quite some time, particularly given that good stories get lost in the mire of tabloid journalism. It's presented in such a way as to make it as absolutely difficult as possible to simply reject if the conclusions of any one study don't align with your world view. Given the not-surprising proportion of "talking out one's ass" in political debates in NSG (I have retired therefrom out of sheer exasperation), I figured it couldn't hurt to link.
