yeah lacrosse takes so much more brain power and skill than football. If you believe that, AND you played, it was obviously at a very low level.

Everyone knows that o-linemen are often the most knowledgeable, skilled (in a certain sense) and bright players on the field behind the quarterback. Not a coincidence why they often move on to coaching...

People constantly understate the complexity of the game when the truth is that, moreso than almost every other team sport, the team's success truly rides on the backs of all 11 guys playing, and just as importantly, the scheme and gameplan going in. Any one of them not doing their job PERFECTLY means failure on any given play.

Sports like soccer, lacrosse, hockey, basketball are much more reactionary and situation dependent. Not to mention that it's far easier for a single player to have a monumental impact on the game and to simply outplay the other guy on a purely raw physical level. Football is about creating mismatches and exploiting the opposing teams weaknesses, both of which vary everytime out. That's why a good football team adapts and wins games often in very different fashions. The Lakers are the Lakers and they play a particular brand of ball, as do the Bulls, or the Heat, etc. They go out  and put the ball in the most talented guy's hands night after night. That's not to say that none of the other sports mentioned are complex and/or complicated, but football gets such a shitty rap for being a "dumb" game, when it's completely untrue.

Haha, yeah... probably because the A's were stolen by Stanfurd... they were all bought up to give to their athletes so they don't have to attend classes...

Stanfurd's so doomed... Have fun without Harbahahaha this season...

Even with Luck, you'll be lucky to have 12000 people in the stadium. Nobody cares about Stanfurd football. Meanwhile the Bears will sell out the Phone booth enough for them to charge 70 a ticket with a 7-5 team lol.

CU's one national champioship is bullshit. Somehow the AP GAVE it to CU even though they lost a game and had a 5th down to help them, while Georgia Tech was the only undefeated team.

My team is georgia tech. We'll win 8 games for the reg season.

LOL CU didn't win a national championship in my mind... that was more dumb than USC getting snubbed out of the national championship game in 2003 even though Oklahoma didnt win their conference. The 5th down game was the biggest ref blunder ever.

I hope Ohio State and Miami get the fucking NCAA banhammer tossed on them... Ohio State should lose mad scholarships, tressel should be given the NCAA death penalty, and Miami should be getting worse than SMU right now...

bored studying for finals and i never go on ns anymore, but i thought I would bump this.

Got my team (Georgia Tech) playin utah in the sun bowl soon.

I also nailed my pre season predictions. My prediction for the sun bowl 35 ga tech 17 utah. Time to stop our bowl losing streak with the team that started it. This is my 6th year at this school and I still havent seen a bowl victory(In a school that used to have the best bowl winning percentage out of anyone).


Oh and LSU bama rematch is still bullshit
