Feel for ya man, hopefully you will get a lenient judge depending on how many charges and how old you are this can be made go away pretty quickly.

Ya my buddies got a mip which is a different charge of course, when they were 16 and got their slate wiped clean through some program.

Unluckily for you you're 18, so i dunno how they're going to rule...

First dress nice, I always wear a dress shirt and tie even if I'm just fighting a ticket, but the judge will probly ask you some questions if you have a job? how are your grades? Stuff like that, admit you were wrong and hopefully you will have an understanding judge and let you go with community service or something and it won't go on your record
