Full Tilt boot size help

i had 28.5 spk kreations and i fit good into a 29 booter

^now i got 28.5 kreations, but they are pretty tight. And i get shin bang so bad my shins bleed sometimes. How do yours fit. Are they tight or loose? And were the full tilts tight or loose?

my kreations fit a little big and i was just at the shop with no intention of buying full tilts and i tried on some booters which im pretty sure were 29s and they fit good, if anything a little big but i had them buckled all the way

You really need to try them on...especially if you're coming from Salomon boots.

^this....yeah two totally different foot boxes....the sollys are pretty wide compared to most full tilts....the booters are wide but go to a shop and get fitted proper...

i wear a size 13 shoe from just about every brand. i wear a 29.5 dalbello krypton pro and spk pro. roughly translated thats an 11.5

Stupid thread is stupid, with so many posts the OP should know that "get fitted" is the answer.

 maybe i am asking this question because I live no where close to a full tilt dealer. You think i don't know that

The problem is, we can't answer this question...

It's not just size that matters, it's how the boot fits and reacts to your foot. Not only that, there's two different fits to Full Tilt boots now, a 99mm last and a 102mm last. While 3mms doesn't sound like a lot, it is. Also, there really isn't a street shoe to ski boot conversion that works with everyones foot, I where a size 11 shoe and have 27.5 boots, my buddy also wear a size 11 shoe (same shoe type) and has size 29 boots.

So, your real options are to either get a different boot, one that your local shops do carry, or try your luck with this chart (straight off the Full Tilt website) http://fulltiltboots.com/support/sizing

If you choose to try your luck, I'd recommend finding an online shop that has an easy return/exchange policy. Also, if you happen to have a friend who has Full Tilts and is near your foot size, ask them to let you try them on, then you'll have a better idea of where your foot fits.

go to a bootfitter. try on several boots that he recommends for your foot shape. if you like any of those boots buy them and forget about ft's. if you dont like any of those, look up the size specs and use them as a guide to figure out if the booters will be close enough to be worth trying.

2 years ago I tried about two dozen boots on at different local shops without much luck. I eventually just measured my foot up and decided hotdoggers were worth the cost of return shipping to try on. Best decision of my life ill never go back to another boot.

Yeah do not waste your money guessing what size you are. I had a guy come into my shop yesterday and ask if I had any size 31 boots. I asked him where he had his foot measured and he said he went off Full tilts sizing guide. I measured his foot and he was infact a 28, so 3 sizes smaller then he was advised by the chart.

Go to your local shop and try on boots, if the fitter knows his stuff, explain to him you want to look cool so want Full tilts and see what he thinks. If your foot would work in them I would think he would tell you what size would work. But really why do you want to ski in an old race boot anyway, there are lots of good boots out there.

Also regardng your problem with the SPK with shin bang, chances are the boots are proberbly a bit big and I would guess you do not have a footbed. Your foot is proberbly not supported correctly by the insole. This will not change with teh full tilt, so you proberbly need the boot fitting with some custom insoles. This is something you can not get online, so really dont risk it, go to your local shop and get what they recomend.

i am flat footed. I have inserts in my every day shoes. Do you think if i put them in my boots they will help with shin bang?

Well if you have flat arches, or more lickly collasped arches, your foot will be quite pronated. You need to try to get your foot in a neutral postion before choosing the boot. If your foot pronates it will make the foot wider in certain areas and also drop the instep as well as rotate your shin bone inwards. This could very well be why your getting shin bang. Go see a good boot fitter who makes custom footbeds and have him asses your feet. I like comformable footbeds and I know onenerdykid likes aline, so maybe try to find somewhere that sells on of those. Once you have your foot in a neutral postion you will be at a much better starting point to get your foot fitted for a boot. The footbed will probably also shorten your foot somewhat (proberbly, not definatly) so you really do need to get measured up too.
