Best Safest Binding under $400

I'm 6' 148lbs and I need some new bindings for park. I'm a decent park skier but last year was my first year trying it. Before then i skied all backcountry, sidecountry stuff before i moved to Indiana. I'm an advanced skier. Just not in the park yet. What will work for me?

At your weight get the look px12ti....bet you can find it for like $199 or less...great binding and a super value....if you really wanna overkill the safety thing check out the look pivots....the 14 will be more than enough for ya and you could probably pick em up for about $300....or for color variation or company variation there's the Rossi fks 140....same binding....different name and color....but honestly I think you'd be jus fine with the px's....hope that helps!

FKS 140 sound just about what you're looking for. Durable (not as durable as the 180, but I'm not really sure you need those), safe (turntable heel keeps you in when you want to be in and lets you go when you need to go), and within your price range (you can find them online and in shops for between $270-$340).

Yeah he's 148 lbs....think the 180 would be way overkill and isn't the right din range unless he's doin 1080 quadruple scooby doo flips....which I doubt for a second year park type....jus sayin

...which is why I said 140s, and even said you don't need to 180s...I simply said that the 140s are not as durable as the 180s (which is a fact), I'll also be as bold to say FKS 140s are more durable than any of the PX series (except maybe the 18, but even that's debatable). I personally will only ride FKS or STH (driver series) bindings on any ski, because they're the only ones that I haven't destroyed or had major problems with, but maybe that's just me, and what's right for me, isn't always right for everyone else. That being said, I still stand by my recommendation of FKS 140s.

^Fks 140s would be a great choice. Also, if you have a knack of destroying your gear, you could look into getting a used pair of Fks 155s. They'll be somewhat hard to find, but the din range is only 1 higher than the 140, but they have the all metal race toe that the 180 and 185 are famous for. You'll also probably be able to get them for somewhere around 120-180 usd.
But if you see any, I'll be trying to buy them as well, which means they'll be extra hard to find.....

But while we are at it....the pivot 14s look badass this year in chrome....soooo pissed I didn't get em....looks been rock solid for me but impatience got the best of me and I went marker...it's all good and no issues so far but I kinda wish I woulda held out a month for those pivots cause they look so sick.

I know ya asked flashkick but my two cents is I rode em last year on a friends ski...they're ugly as hell but I never had a pre release...didn't take any hard slams in em either though so I dunno if the proper release right either....my buddy got em cheap though and hasn't had an issue with em...the tyrolia version that is.

Better than px series and griffons and bindings like those, I've only ridden the 12s (first park binding...I still have them around, but I didn't go to hard on them), 14s (as the deadbolt version) and the 18s, so I can't comment on the 15s, the 14s were ok, the 18s were actually quite durable. I actually have no problems with the durability with them, I had some release issues and just never felt comfortable in them, maybe it was just me, cause I know a lot of people really like them, but I dunno, there was just something about them, can't really explain.
