Hey people of NS. I'm looking to start selling ski bags. I can custom hand-make them with any material/design you would want. What kind of prices would you be willing to buy and is anybody interested?

ski bag as in long bag you put your skis in, or duffel bag you throw your ski shit in, or backpack you take skiing?

Yeah I agree that more details are necessary. What makes them different than existing products? Is each bag made custom for the consumer, or will you make a general line and do custom work as well? What special features will these bags have. Details please!

Well I could pretty much make anything you asked for. Long ski bag to put skis in, duffel bag. Pretty much anything made to your specifications. The customization factor is endless.

Maybe post some pics of prototype bags demonstrating your skills or what you can make so then we have an idea of what you can realistically make for us.

I did this in highschool. Didn't make any money. I was just doing duffle bags and what not.

You really need to consider your time I recall it taking quite a lot of time when having to deal with things like tweed and what not. I made a portfolio bag for my graphic design classes and had a few people ask me to make them. I would have needed to charge around $100 a piece to really make it worth it. But if you aren't doing anything else and have people willing to pay $100... go for it. I just recall getting offers like $30 and being like, hmmm materials cost around $15...

I'd make a few and set a price. I think that is where I went wrong, I asked what people would spend. Set a price that makes it worth it to you to create them. Then tell people what that price is.
