orangutan uses a towel,
a modern human invention,
evolution must be true.
not denying evolution.
i just think that if you used this as evidence. any person with a logical thought would be able to identify the fallacy of the evidence you used to support your evolution claim.
Chimps have been known for a long time to use tools and teach each other. Im sure its the same for this fella. This isn't evolution, using this towel has nothing to do with survival, other orangantangs did not get killed because they didn't know how to use a towel. Give an animal a tool they will use it if they can physiologically its called learning.
what are you trying to dispute?
i pointed out the common ancestor bit, and what i said about not evolving from something that exists today is still correct. the portion of primates that stayed in south africa would continue to evolve, no visible changes might occur but everything evolves, a common misconception is that evolution is the same as complexity, we are more complex than chimps but they have evolved for the same amount of time that we have, and as such are equally evolved. when people say that humans are more evolved than monkeys, they either dont know what they are talking about, or they are using the word to describe complexity, in which case the word 'evolved' is not referring to the theory of evolution.
Hate my phone... Monopyletic terms cause they work better with the subject material. You can think of it your way or the way I learned, neither is wrong. You end up saying we evolved from apes or a primate that was ape like. Taxonomy lables arent an exact science. They change constantly which may be one of the reasons the mono system exists and works.
You need to learn about tectonic plates and the formation of continents.
When super terrains collide the oceanic shelf that surrounds them is thrust up. This is how mountains are made. Oceanic shelves are rich with fossils due to rapid sedimentation. Thus fossils on a mountain.
