Someone Jacked My Front License Plate....

The fuck??? I come out of the store to realize that my front plate is missing. At first I just thought it fell off, but then I looked at where the bolts were screwed in and it wasn't like there was a crack or split or anything like that. There's no way two tightly screwed bolts could have both come unloose to the point where the plate just fell off. Just kind of a weird thing to steal. It's a NH plate and our motto is Live Free Or Die and everyone seems to love that so I'm assuming that's maybe why some Utard took my plate. Still just kind of weird. In NH, you need a front and back plate, but since I'm out of state in Utah, do you think it will matter that I don't have a front plate? I'm assuming no but do you think I should get another plate shipped out to me?

Check because in Maine you will get pulled over leaving your driveway without front tags

im pretty sure the rule here in utah is that if you have a mount for it, then you need one, and if you dont have one you dont, but i havnt heard of anybody getting a ticket for not having one

my first guess would be that some jr high or highschool kids jacked it to put it on their car while they steal gas or commit other petty crimes.

I would definitely report this. If your plate is used in a crime and you don't report that it was stolen, it's going to sound shady.

Like SkierX said, you should probably report that pretty soon. Plates are stolen for theft, not for the saying on the plate.

So I did end up reporting them as stolen. I now need to get fresh plates since my current ones are considered stolen. The cop told me that I would need to register my car in Utah in order to get new plates, but would it be possible for me to just get new New Hampshire plates from back home without having to register my car in Utah? Because now if I have to register my car in Utah, I'll have to change my insurance as well, so it would be much easier if I didn't have to go through all of that considering I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to live in Utah for.
