So my girlfriend is a competitive freestyle jump-roper. I had never seen or heard of it until we started dating. I saw some potential to make an edit and went out and started shooting. Let me know what you think, it was a fun experience making it.

I really like the song.

The dress wearing in the beginning was super un-attractive what with them having sneakers on. -___-

The filming was pretty cool though and those tricks were fucking wack, I couldn't even find the rope half the time. Really cool edit overall.

Yeah, its weird too see at first. It really is incredibly hard, haha ive tried it before and it kicked my ass. once you understand the different variations and how fast they are going its pretty intense.

I have only heard the original version in come find us. But then again I really could care less as im pretty sure nobody has ever made a jump rope video before.

I really liked it, definitely never seen a jump rope edit before haha. Yeah the song has been used but it doesn't bother me because it's not skiing.

Wow dude that was really sick! I didn't think the jump roping was wack at all, that shit looks hard. And it didn't bother me at all that you used a song that DTF used, because IMO your filming/editing is on par with his, and it was such a different kind of video. What are you shooting with?

And thanks for the compliments. It really is a very hard and technical sport, i try it sometimes and usually end up whipping myself in the face haha

Overall I like it. I liked the movement and the angle in almost every one of those shots. The music went well with speed of the video. Personally I think the ropes look messy in slow motion. Some sports, like skiing, look great in slo-mo because there isn't a lot of movement but I don't think this is one of them. At least not freestyle. Speed up 95% of those shots, pick an appropriate song and adjust your camera movement accordingly and you're spot on.

Yeah i can see where your coming from you can see the ropes flopping around a bit. I guess i went with slow-mo because at regular speed you cant even see the rope and everything is so fast. Wanted to slow it down to show the technical things you could miss easily in regular speed. If I make another one I will definitely take that into consideration and do a more upbeat edit.
