Thinking of getting a new computer, we got a couple local comp shops but was wondering if you know of any websites where you can get good and reliable deals at.

Try all of the computer sites and see what kind of prices thay are asking, then start looking at like best buy and circuit city websites and then search your own.

dude DONT get a dell, unless your on a small budget. i cant recommend anything other than building your own comp. but if youd like to buy one already made, then maybe check out emachines.com or a number of other comp sites.

Dells are actually reliable as far as PCs go, and unlike Toshiba and a few other companies, they don't use year-old technology dressed up to be new stuff. Alienware is cool stuff, but I don't know if they fixed the battery problem (they didn't last as long as most laptops).

I haven't had any problems with my Dell, but the best thing to do is go to a computer shop or check out all the computers websites, if your really on a low budget check out ebay

yeah i juut got a athlon 64 3200+, geforce fx 5900 SE, asus 64 mobo with RAID for around $550

the only beef i have had with dell is that one of my good friends got one of their PC's and when there were issues the so called 'great support' just was not there. i just feel a lot more comfortable when i put together my own comp.

If you got the knowledge, I suggest building you own. You can make a kick ass machine for way cheeper. I built my own. Shop around online for the best price. TigerDirect usually has good prices. The sell whole comps too.

I also echo comments about Dell. They are overrated.
